Mentors Support Our Community’s Youth
Mentor Connection is a program that matches Oakland County youth who can benefit from extra encouragement and guidance with caring adults who can provide that support. The program is currently looking for caring adults to become mentors, as well as expanding its waiting list for youth, ages 7-17, who may benefit from and enjoy having a mentor.
A mentor spends time one-on-one with a child/teen 4-6 hours per month for one year. Activities may range from fishing to gardening, sports to movies, or just “hanging out”. The day and times are determined based on the mentor and mentee’s schedule.
This is a fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity where you can truly make a positive impact on a child’s life. It is a wonderful experience for youth who may need an additional positive adult role model and/or extra encouragement.
